about
The future of humanity. With the rise of modern technologies and big data there are so many aspects of our lives that have been taken over by the systems that we’ve designed to help us. Our ability to make decisions and control our destiny is in decline. The data that’s captured about us is used to keep us addicted to the things we think we want. It’s like we are sleepwalking into a dystopian future where all our decisions are based on an algorithm telling us what we should think, feel and do. The chorus depicts a world where we are no longer human beings, but instead existing as data in ‘the cloud’ floating between computer servers like an endless sea of digital memories.
lyrics
Mimic us artificial intelligence controlling the lives of humankind
The most important decisions in life made for us by algorithmic hive mind
Slave
You are a slave to the digital age
Your decisions are just revisions by the systems we create in our dystopian domain
We’re on the brink
We are all obsolete dreams becoming seas of memories drifting in complexity for eternity
Sapiens are replaced by machines
Rife with deceit we no longer perceive
Our faculties plagued with neuroses
Perpetually we calculate how we should be formulating the chemistry of identity synthetically programming our genes to produce perfect beings but can we find meaning in a world where everything is determined by data ideology
Am I really free
Disclose to me unequivocally
Obsolete human waste eradicate this wretched plague who blight the Earth by merely existing
We are the disease
Living tragedy
Bleak philosophy
You must heed
We are all obsolete dreams becoming seas of memories drifting in complexity for eternity
Eternity
You are a slave
You are a slave to the digital age
Your decisions are just revisions by the systems we create in our dystopian domain

“… And Everything In Between” was a great introduction to the band, and after having listened to it 2975295 times in a relatively short while I could appreciate “Artificial Void” (which is perhaps a bit more intricate?) better. Alice M.

Cool compositions and great production – Who Bit the Moon is full of prog-rock moments that uplift and quickly capture attention. Neat changes in tempo add interest, and plentiful guitar hooks deliver moments to savour. Michael Reilly
